Streym is an IT consultancy providing support and managed IT services to small and medium businesses.
When we met, Streym had a small nondescript presence online and were not able to stand out amongst the many offer companies offering similar services. Our brief was to produce an attractive, eye-catching website with a distinctly techy-edge. We had full control over colours and style but the budget and timescales were quite tight. We kept everything to a simple colour palette of blue, white and grey to ensure a clean, modern appearance, and used stock photography to keep costs to a minimum.
It was very important to the client that the site be completely responsive as many of their customers were searching for IT services using smartphones. We used our b:Modular small business product to produce a highly adaptable website with an easy-to-navigate format that looks good on any device.
Small businesses like Streym often struggle when it comes to web design due to lack of experience, lack of time and/or lack of budget.
b:web has produced a new web design system that we call b:Modular for exactly this reason. b:Modular is a collection of web design modules that can be mixed and matched and easily combined to create all of the web pages required for your website. Streym’s b:Modular web design was completely bespoke to them and not just in terms of the branding and colours – it includes many of the features of our bespoke web design builds including some layouts and design concepts unique to them.
With b:Modular, Streym didn’t have to spend hours and hours designing their website – the b:web design team did all the heavy lifting, providing a full web design project management service.
b:web spent a lot of time with Streym talking through various options, approaches and design possibilities, before even putting pen to paper. The result is an effective, efficient website that caters perfectly for the target audience and has already proven itself in terms of generating both interest in the brand and new business.
The WordPress-based b:Modular content management system has been developed by b:web to be as easy as possible to use as well as incredibly flexible, and this was backed up by a full training session, a video of the session to refer back to, and plenty of support both before and after go-live.
The result is a clean, attractive website that is flexible enough to grow with the company over the next few years.
