Maria Christina is a genius hairdresser with 20 years experience and, until the recent Covid-19 pandemic, a thriving shopfront business. However, she is not the kind of person to be beaten by the loss of income caused by the lockdown and has repositioned herself as an independent hairdresser and hair consultant based from her home.
b:web was tasked with developing a completely new concept for the website which would help Maria’s new venture stand out and compete at a difficult time and in a highly competitive marketplace.
We researched the local hairdressing market and local competitors and determined that the site would need to have a striking image-led theme and be simplified in order to convey all the necessary information and facilities in the most effective way.
After discussions, it was decided that a b:Modular website was the best route, as it offers all of these features and more at a cost suitable for the available budget. b:Modular is a collection of web design modules that can be mixed and matched and easily combined to create all of the web pages required for a website. Maria’s b:Modular web design is completely bespoke to her and not just in terms of the branding and colours – it includes many features of our bespoke web design builds, including layouts and design concepts, unique to her.
The WordPress-based b:Modular content management system has been developed by b:web to be as easy as possible to use as well as incredibly flexible, and this was backed up by a full training session, a video of the session to refer back to, and plenty of support both before and after go-live.
The result is a beautiful website that is flexible enough to grow with the company over the next few years.
